Sat 26/3/11 Seven Ages of Britain & The Tudors

Channel 4 at 8pm sees Bettany Hughes considers the fourth age, between 410 and 1066AD, a period of chaos that lead to an independent and wealthy Britain.

The Tudors at 10pm is clearly only for 6th Form only. It is an excellent episode that shows Katherine Parr's religious persuasion and Henry VIII's political paranoia, a distinct change from his optimistic ascension.
