Thurs 9pm: Good Morning, Vietnam on FILM4

This film is in my personal top ten of all time and in my top five history films. I have shown clips from this film to my GCSE and A-Level classes.

Comedy drama starring Robin Williams as the army disc jockey who boosts morale during the Vietnam War with rock 'n' roll and irreverent humour. (15 - 120mins)

There is a great scene where Williams tries to explain the conflict through humour. He succeeds in this effort but in doing so he also shows the futility of the war and the hardship of guerilla warfare.
